What do you do?
I specialise in all aspects of website delivery in my role as Web Technical Manager. Keeping our websites running securely and reliably is a major part of the service we provide, as even the best-looking website needs a strong technical foundation. I have extensive knowledge of WordPress, which helps me ensure our websites are secure, performing well and running efficiently.
I also support the web team by strengthening our processes, sharing technical knowledge and helping us work more effectively for our clients. A major highlight of my work here has been seeing how much the web team and our technical capabilities have developed over the years. I am proud to have worked on a wide variety of projects, from full website builds and complex integrations to security improvements, server management and technical problem-solving for both clients and the team.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I began my professional career in web development in 2008 and have since gained more than 18 years of experience in the industry. During this time, I have worked across website design, development, hosting, security, email delivery and ongoing technical support. I have extensive experience managing WordPress websites, website migrations, server and PHP upgrades, DNS configuration, performance optimisation and complex third-party integrations.
I joined what was then JE Consulting, now Imagine That, back in 2013 as a Web Designer. From there, I became a Web Developer before working my way up to become a Senior Front-End Developer and am now the Web Technical Manager.
Reliability, honesty and attention to detail are very important to me. I also value teamwork, clear communication and finding practical solutions that make things easier for both clients and colleagues.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking my son on days out and exploring new places together. I also enjoy playing sports, particularly badminton, tennis and table tennis.
