What do you do?
As the Web Creative Manager, my role is to ensure that the websites we produce and manage truly emphasise the creative potential of our team. I would often describe what I do as ‘making things look pretty’, but having a keen eye for aesthetics is vital for web development. Our clients want their brand to stand out and this is only possible through websites that are capable of putting into practice the stylistic choices of those businesses and our designers.
The values that matter most to me are creativity, curiosity and excellence, so I ensure these are reflected in my own work and in the work of the people I manage. This means that I am keen to challenge assumptions and think differently to find innovative solutions to challenges. I lead the team in constantly exploring new ideas and technologies to determine how they can support the work that we do. Ultimately, I strive to balance innovation with quality and a clear attention to detail.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I started my career as a Desktop Publisher at Central Law Training, designing brochures, advertisements, logos and email marketing campaigns. In 2008, I moved to Imagine That, or JE Consulting as it was called back then, in a combined web and graphic design role. There, my focus gradually shifted towards web design and digital experiences.
I believe the best digital experiences come from creative thinking and strong teamwork. I enjoy working with others to solve problems, share ideas and achieve common goals. I also take pride in maintaining high standards in everything I do, ensuring work is thoughtful, effective and delivers the best possible experience for users.
I’ve enjoyed helping to shape our digital presence, delivering successful web projects and working with great people to continuously improve the user experience.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, shopping and gardening, as well as spending time with my family.
