What do you do?

As the Social Media Manager, I help to organise coordinated social media strategies that fit in with wider marketing plans. This sees me moving around the office, engaging with the different teams and bringing everything together. Social media is a brilliant way to demonstrate what a business is doing and who they really are.

Helping clients get their message out to the world and creating content that people enjoy is the highlight of the work I do. It is always a great boost to see when a post is received well and gets a lot of engagement, particularly if it is one I worked really hard on!

Tell us a bit about yourself

I have always been interested in social media, spending hours on Bebo and MySpace (I’m showing my age here!) This passion continued into university and social media ended up being the topic of my dissertation.

Originally, I started off in retail for seven years covering all things customer service, but I knew I wanted to break into a social media-focused career. My passion for content creation began with my first professional role in 2019, when I started working in-house as a Marketing and Communications Officer for a promotional products supplier. I helped to promote products on social media, in email marketing and on the company website, increasing brand awareness and visibility.

I joined Imagine That in 2023, though it was still JE Consulting back then, as a Social Media Copywriter. My passion for pushing the boundaries of what is possible through social media saw me become the Social Media Manager. Through this managerial position, I have been able to empower the team with the values I hold closest. I believe in kindness, patience, curiosity and happiness, so I try to make sure the team is having a good time while doing their incredible work.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

I love travelling and planning trips (particularly to Japan), relaxing in the garden, photography and crafty hobbies like junk journaling and scrapbooking.
