What do you do?
As a UX/UI designer, my main focus is creating digital experiences that look amazing, are intuitive and easy to use, while meeting the needs of both our clients and their users. The joy of UX design is coming up with something ambitious and then working alongside the web development team to make it a reality.
I typically work with clients who are looking to completely refresh and modernise their websites, with a focus on improving both the visual design and overall user experience. The highlight of my career so far has to be designing the very website you are currently looking at!
Tell us a bit about yourself
I studied for a master’s degree in Product Design at university, which had a strong focus on user research and understanding how people interact with, think about and perceive products. I then began my professional career as a creative designer in 2019, working in the field for six years and developing my creative and visual design skills. This experience ultimately led me to my current role as a UX/UI designer, allowing me to combine my visual design background with my passion for user experience and user-focused digital design.
I joined Imagine That back when it was still called JE Consulting, where my values of creativity, quality, collaboration and continuous learning inform my approach to design, ensuring I produce thoughtful, high-quality work while working effectively alongside others and developing my skills.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and seeing the world through his eyes as he explores and experiences new things. He’s a big fan of the outdoors, so we spend a lot of time exploring the nature around us, from long walks through the countryside to exploring the wetlands, lakes and walking trails nearby.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, watching films and TV series and occasionally gaming. I also love DIYing things around the house.
