What do you do?
My work as a Graphic Designer involves making sure our clients have effective brand stories communicated through clear visuals. This can sometimes involve expanding on what a client already has or working with them to undertake a full rebrand. Getting to work with the vast range of clients we have is a true highlight of what I do. Giving a brand a strong story and direction, seeing the design come together and knowing that clients are able to expand their brands is my main focus.
I have a keen attention to detail, ensuring that every element of a design works cohesively to create clear, engaging visuals that effectively communicate with the intended audience.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I began my career as a Graphic Designer in 2006 with a local authority in Derbyshire, where I worked for ten years. Since then, I have held in-house graphic design roles across a range of businesses in the transport and vehicle sales sectors, as well as with a creative agency in Wolverhampton. I joined Imagine That, then known as JE Consulting, in 2022 as a Graphic Designer.
Throughout my career, I have developed a broad range of design and communication skills, adapting to the unique requirements of each role. The experience I have gained across these diverse environments has enabled me to build a strong, versatile skill set that I continue to apply and develop in my work today.
I believe that no matter how long I have been a graphic designer, there is always something new to learn, which is one of the reasons I love my job so much.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and am a particular admirer of the works of Poppy Z. Brite, often revisiting their novels. I also have a keen interest in true crime, film, history (art and general) and visiting Northumberland.
